Kagadi Kibaale Community Radio(KKCR) donate free airtime to Kagadi district education department to teach learners.
Kagadi Kibaale Community Radio 91.7FM on the 25th April 2020 donated free airtime to the Kagadi district education department to teach learners since schools were closed to curb the spread of coronavirus.
The vice chancellor of African Rural University Dr. Mwalimu Musheshe who doubles as the station manager KKCR said they decided to do this with education department of Kagadi following outcry from residents since KKCR was left out yet many people listen to it.
Dr. Mwalimu Musheshe said, Kagadi district education department will use 2 hrs from Monday to Saturday teaching learners for their better tomorrow.
He also said KKCR will continue supporting Kagadi district health department towards fighting COVID-19.
However, Dr. Mwalimu asked, Kagadi district education department to select right teachers who will be teaching learners and in right time.
He also appealed to parents to provide ample time for leaners to attend teachings.
